The Bootlegger Bistro

The Bootlegger Bistro is a Las Vegas staple which offers authentic Italian with a local family at the helm. Chef Mama Maria has been serving Las Vegas since 1949 when she opened her first Italian restaurant. Since then she has owned numerous restaurants in Las Vegas. In 1972, Maria & her husband Al opened the first Bootlegger Bistro on Tropicana & Eastern in partnership with their daughter Lorraine. In 2001, they moved The Bootlegger to its current location on South Las Vegas Boulevard. Traditional recipes coming from Maria’s grandfather Luigi have not changed a bit.

House specialties include lasagna, linguine and clams, seafood fra diavolo and osso bucco. A full range of pasta is offered, including spaghetti with meat sauce, baked penne, ravioli and fettuccine Alfredo. Steaks, fish and chicken dishes are also served, like the Pollo Angelo, boneless chicken breast sautéed in a sauce of lemon, capers and wine and served with fettuccine Alfredo. The Bootlegger also features music each night in Old Vegas lounge style, adding to the restaurant’s vintage Vegas ambiance.
